Privacy Notice

Who we are
Minutes is operated by Neuron Learning Private Limited, a company registered in India ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the personal data we process about you through the Minutes app and website at justminutes.app.
What data we collect
- Account data — email address, display name, profile picture (from your sign-in provider), and authentication tokens.
- Usage data — the focus sessions you log, your goals, tasks, and preferences.
- Device data — browser type, operating system, IP address (used briefly to deliver the service and detect abuse), and push-notification subscription tokens if you enable notifications.
- Support data — anything you choose to send us by email.
Why we use it
- To create and operate your account.
- To deliver the focus timer, save your sessions, and sync across your devices.
- To send you the notifications you've enabled (e.g. session alarms).
- To keep the service secure and prevent fraud or abuse.
- To respond to your support requests.
- To improve Minutes — using aggregate, non-identifying usage patterns.
Legal basis (GDPR / similar laws)
- Contract — to provide the Service you've signed up for.
- Legitimate interests — to keep the Service secure and to improve it.
- Consent — for optional things like push notifications. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation — where we have to retain or disclose data by law.
Who we share data with
We share personal data only with service providers that help us run Minutes:
- Supabase — hosting, database, and authentication infrastructure.
- Paddle.com — our Merchant of Record for all purchases. Paddle handles checkout, billing, tax compliance, invoicing, and refunds. Paddle's privacy notice is at paddle.com/legal/privacy.
- Google — if you sign in with Google, your name, email, and avatar are shared with us by Google under their terms.
- Push-notification providers — Apple Push Notification service, Google FCM, Mozilla autopush, depending on your browser, to deliver the notifications you've enabled.
- Professional advisers and authorities — where we are required to do so by law or to protect our rights.
International transfers
Some of our service providers store or process data outside India (for example in the United States or European Economic Area). Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the provider's adequacy decisions.
How long we keep data
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile, focus log, push subscriptions, and subscription records are deleted immediately. We may retain purchase records as required by tax and accounting law (typically up to 8 years in India). Backups are overwritten on a rolling schedule.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to our processing, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent. You can exercise the access and deletion rights directly in your account settings. For anything else, email wecare@justminutes.app. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Security
We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures — encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, access controls, and least-privilege keys — to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep yours safe.
Cookies and local storage
We use only the storage that's necessary to run the Service: an authentication cookie/local storage entry for your session and a small set of local-storage keys for your preferences (theme, timer settings, etc.). We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
Children
Minutes is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us data, please contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this notice
If we make material changes we'll notify you (for example by email or in-app notice) before the changes take effect.
